I've seen that site before, but according to it, a crappy site I own was worth ~$3000. I know for a fact it isn't worth that much :p

i think he meant he typed the url to his specific myspace page not myspace in general...

I think it just randomly generates a number, and tells you thats how much your site is worth.

It's not that your site is worth X amount of dollars, it is the domain name based on Alexa statistics. Alexa measures traffic into a site as well as links from other sites into the site. Based on that it can rank all the sites it has crawled. Using some algorithm, the owners of this site has related a dollar value based on rank. I'd be curious to see the formula to see if it is just arbitrary or is there some research behind it based on sales of domain names.
