This is what it needs to look like!

And you should design the heat sink with TEC.

But it should have some fins or grooves to help with the heat distribution. The TEC would be great! Lets have a TEC GB along with the C-mount (635nM) GB and the C-ryton GB!

Why would i want to design a peniz?  I hated the barrels with the rounded heads like that.  Just looks silly.

Can't you make them a rectangle barrel? Square head wich is rotative for a focus :? I'd prefer it using a single AA.

I'd prefer it using a single 18650.

Make it square so it won't roll when you deposit on a table. Using a single AA is better than two AAA. Those AA battery are the most common.

there are other methods of preventing something from rolling without making it square. My grooves don't roll .

Dude 18650's are 3.7V and max out at 2600mAh. Their a little bigger, but they are over double the power, and last over 4 times longer then AA's.

C-mount all the way!
Personally, I think the RPL/Aries/Herc style lasers look awkward and not very aesthetically pleasing. I would rather have a laser that looked like the Spyder I but with a tailcap clicky.
Besides, isn't the point of custom laser barrels that they are custom and not like everything else?
I really dont think it should be another clumsy looking laser.
The Kryton V2 barrels look great, and so should every version of the Kryton barrels.
:)

Also, what kind of batteries would this be made to fit?
Obviously, if we're talking about a high powered C-mount it would require a lot of power...

for a c-mount nothing short of a 18650 would do~!

What bout a 17670? (18650 is better but a 17670 would still do the job)
