What should my next build be?

I built my first laser a few months ago and, just as I suspected would happen, I want to build another. Even though I have no idea what to do with one laser let alone two. I have burnt everything with in ten feet, cut a line into my laptop screen, burnt the couch, started a few fires and have an idea for this game (BANDAI NAMCO Amusement America - Game - BarBerCut Lite) My current laser is a 445nm 2w in a c6 host.

So now what? I think I want to build a green laser. Its main purpose would be for using at night. It doesn't need to burn but I do want it to be bright, with a tight beam. Any ideas? I want to try to keep it under 150-200$

If you like green you could get a PL520 in copper module with driver and acrylic for $90 here.

And pick up a 501B host from Mrcrouse.

Total cost should be about $120 plus shipping. It would be nice and bright. Or if you wanted to go a little stronger you could get the PLP520-B1 instead for $35 more.

Both those would be very bright and have nice tight beams.:

I agree with DTR, my PL520 build is easily visible in dim lighting and is safe to shine around the room without fear of starting a fire. I spent about $150 on mine, see the white link in my signature, you could build the same laser but with a different host, the 501B or any Mrcrouse Plug-N-Burn host is perfect. The PL520 does require dim light for a visible beam but is great at night and in the dark, if you want it really bright its probably worth spending the extra money for a PLP520-B1 and can still be within your price range.

Thanks for the replies. I was planning on buying the diode from dtr either way. I wish there were a way to buy all the parts/pcb of a good driver so that I could solder it up. So far building a laser consist of screwing a few pieces together.
I probably would go with the more expensive one. How much brighter would either one be? I have m140 445nm from dtr advertised at 2w

I wouldn't advise trying to cheat vending machines. A 2W laser is pretty obvious to all bystanders and
surveillance cameras are everywhere. That and it's probably illegal.
