What kind of a driver is this and will it work for this laser?

Ok so i was going through the SurvivalLaser website and found that they have a new type of driver (linked bellow). Its current adjustable and has an efficiency of ~90% my question is can i use it with the M140 diode and set it to 2A of current so its more powerful. Also would the power be arround ~2.5W?
Thanks!!! :D:D:D

Why not ask them directly? This is on their site.

This is a "buck" type driver.. meaning it will "buck off"some of the input voltage for the diode. use two cells with this driver. This is a great driver for all the features it has. It will work fine for a M140 diode. 2 amps is a lil on the high side for that diode. I usualy max them at 1.8. I then get about 2.2ish watts with a three element lens.
Make sure you have glasses/goggles for this laser. It can be very dangerous.
good luck
