I've noticed lately I'm been on LPF a lot more then previously, which isn't a bad thing since this website is a major part of my hobby. It's where I learn everything! We all have that tingle when we haven't been on LPF for awhile, I feel it and I'm sure most of the people on here do also.

I keep coming back since the people on here are great, and there is always someone who is willing to lend a hand if you need it. Not only that, but I find myself reading old threads which go into detail about wavelengths, how they look in comparison to others and how excited some of you guys were when those came out :D

Now, why do you keep coming back to the forums?

I find that I come back not just for entertainment, and not even so much to learn (although that's very important), but I find what drives me most is the opportunity to help someone :)

Information, birds of a feather, sharing, asking and giving help, finding cool stuff to buy from members.

I come for the lasers. I stay because of everything else previously stated which is the community and the knowledge held within said community. A good mixture of everything I suppose. Love looking at other people's photos of beam shots etc. Always interesting how everyone captures them in their own unique way.

That's a good motivator. I often go back to old threads and see if a question has been left unanswered or if someone is still looking for help!

Mostly because I hope some new diode/wavelength will show up. Also to see the builds and stuff. I'm not much of a chatter :p

Mainly the BS&T section, build/product reviews and the great helpful community. This is the only ever forum that I've donated money to as my token of appreciation.

Same, only forum I've donated to was LPF. Then again, haven't part of many forums :D

I came back because it surprised me how far laser tech had gotten since I had left. 520nm was a rarity when I left; reading about the 515nm laser builds was like "whoa someday". And now the diodes are everywhere lol. There was no such thing as 462nm yet, and now people are pumping >1W of 462nm. I have yet to see 462nm in person lol my rainbow sig is no longer complete :p and I only left a few months ago lol

I'm also back for deal hunting in the BST, and I love seeing people happy with their new lasers. It's cool seeing the excitement in so many people in the same interest

And of course, I'm here to help people. I came to this forum with almost zero knowledge of lasers, learned a ton, and it's nice to give back to the forum and educate new members
