Hm.....Laserglow had no problem replying to my RMA request.

Probably because they have to respond since they stated on their website you can return a laser within 7 days. I will give them credits here. They state you must pay for return shipping, but they will pay for it(has nothing to do with my problems with them).

I am done there.

Gray hasen't responded to me in almost 24hours. Anyone know if he's alright or on vacation? Maybe one of you folks can answer this.

Would a 150mW 650 laser in a PL-E host require a duty cycle?

Hap, remember Gray is in a +- 12hrs. different time zone.
A 650nm, 150mW in a PL-E Pro will give you a good long duty cycle; it probably won't be infinite, but you're probably not going to use it for a night light are you? :D

Well I've left on my O-like 200mw 650nm for like 2 hours before as a test and it barely gets warm. The thing could almost be used as a lab laser. 150mw of direct diode power is nothing when most DPSS lasers have 500-2500mw pump diodes. So long as the diode is heatsinked and the driver isn't underspec, you can probably leave moderate power red lasers on indefinitely. I'd wait for an official reply from jetlasers, but I'd say you should easily get a long duty cycle.
