Were should I buy a IR diode?

Alright, So I recently Discovered the possibilities and how cool these things are. So were should I buy one. I want something like a 1W or close to that. So i dont know if I should Buy one off ebay (and from what seller) or if i should go else ware. :thinking:

What about green pointer ? Could the pump diode be focused ?
