Wicked photonic disruptor looks like heat shrinked core. I always thought that was a cheap idea.
You can even tell the shape of the elliptic button under the heat shrink.

Yes... It is a very good idea. He sure loves his WL's, though... I've used all of them, and they do run pretty well in-spec... But he DID get them before the quality started dropping. I'd suggest looking at his other Instructables and YouTube videos... (StatusProductions) I swear, this guy's a genius.
