Gee .. I must buy some strong green soon, before they ban it EU-wide.
On the other hand .. damn airplanes .. it's so pretty shining the lazors in the night and fog.
We need somehow limit the beam length to few meters .. lol.

I want to send a class 4 laser to italy. It has all the safety features USA needs (keyswitch, labels etc). This thread is a bit old and I cannot seem to find any articles on google about italian laser laws.

In Italy are banned (detention and sale) all pointers, or portable lasers, with power >5 mW. If you want to send a class IV laser pointer there is a serious risk of confiscation at customs...

Are you sure? I have found so much information on the web that is different. There is this page that says it is banned. And I found some other pages that say there is just a 4.7% tax...

Just adjust pot to <5mw and then when received turn back to normal. Wala. :) Or remove colimator/lense and diffuse beam is no longer perceived as a laser.
