So accidents never happen in your world?

No matter how careful you are accidents will happen.

Is it really that hard to imagine that you might hit something you shouldn't have with a hand held laser?

The risk increases with lasers that can be permanently switched on.

"don't blind me bro" and all of his first posts on the forum are about potential eye damage, and how it's risky to use lasers outside. Not gonna fall for this.

No aspect of life is without risk.

So what is your point? That you have no control over the use and functioning of a laser that you alone control 100%?
If so, a laser is not something you should own or use---simple.

If you are an accident looking for a place to happen, chances are you will find a way to cause or be involved in one.

Exactly--of one's own doing, are easy to prevent/avoid if common sense is employed

I guess it's less of a problem if you do the lasing where it's not a lot of people or stuff to worry about, or if your outside your home.

My pointer is surely illegal where I live, so it's best to avoid any complications.

One other problem could be people calling the police just because they saw you using it.

Do you guys think about this, and how do you deal with it?

The 2nd thread started by BlindMeBro, why? Looks like a pretty stupid OP to me meant to stir the poop.

If you're not allowed a pointer in your country BlindMeBro then get rid of it, don't break the law and don't allow yourself to make your feared mistake of pointing at an airplane, you should get rid of it.

DontBlindMeBro GET RID OF IT!

Keep stirring the poop....did you enjoy this BlindMeBro?

But Seriously: Get Rid of IT !!

If this is what you think : No matter how careful you are accidents will happen.
Then you should not operate your illegal laser, dispose of it in a safe manner ASAP before you hurt someone or yourself, because accidents can happen, that's why we push safety glasses, but to say accidents WILL happen is the wrong attitude, yes accidents can and do happen, but you should not be of the mindset that an accident is going to happen no matter what, you should work to prevent an accident at all times.

I think you should get rid of it.
