Ok I was watching Scifi Science on the Science channel and they were talking about ways to travel thru a black hole and the space ship would use anti gravity matter to hold the black hole open so it didn't colapse as the space ship entered it. They said that anti gravity matter is real and very rare. they compared it to two magnets how they repell each other.

But yes 0g you got it.

hahaha I like this thread. My question would be:

Would the black (hole) laser have a minus power rating, so that if you point a -500mW black (hole) laser at a 500mW laser, it would suck up all of the light from the other laser and maybe even charge the batteries!

A black laser would charge the battery isntead of depleting it. :D (as above)

EDIT: Sometimes i should press refresh before posting.

And assuming a somewhat similar inefficiency the black laser may need to be heated to stop it from freezing too far below operating temperature. Maybe you could bolt the laser heatsink to the black laser heatsink and then it would maintain them both at ambient.

Or in the ideal world if they were 100% efficient, when the laser batteries were dead you could just swap with the black laser and start again.

It depend ..... "passive" antigravity shield you from the gravity, where "active" antigravity repels you ..... this, at least, in theory ..... but i have not (yet) found a way for test them in practice ..... :D
