Can this laser use new style HeNe tubes? Or can its original tube not be replaced I just bought this laser for 40 dollars that still works I'm just wondering if it was worth the money thanks!

Yes that is my 40 dollar laser. I was just wondering if replacement tubes are impossible to find now days.

You'll probably need to wait for one of our gas laser specialists to help you out. Don't know very much about gas lasers myself.

For the cost, you wouldn't want to bother replacing the tube in that HeNe - its less than 1mw output - and the tube (if you can find one) would cost more than the laser is worth... you can easily find a 4-5mw Melles Griot tube and power supply for under $200 (or much less if you are patient).

If you really like the lab-style lasers, there are several on ebay right now...

You'd need a matching tube from another head. Probably not worth the effort/cost though.
