Ultrafire Lithium CR2's 3V

I was curious...do the Ultrafire Lithium CR2 3 Volt batteries have PCB under discharge protection?

I'm guessing yes, but I am not 100% sure. Thanks.

They don't have any protection. I have killed one of them by discharging it down to 1V.

I can confirm that. They don't have protection! As far as I know protected CR2's don't exist, or at least they're very hard to find. I've got the exact same batteries for my DX 200mW Dilda and they perform great, but be careful not to overcharge or overdischarge.

I was in a hurry and my charger was full, so I put 3 on my V-PSU, set it at 4.25V ,Max current @250mA
Also hooked up my DVM, I unhooked them at 4.22V

Long story short, they were fried. Measured 4.2V after charging but put them in a laser and you got 2-5 seconds of power, then >0

So in summation; No they are not protected. As has been stated.

They are also very picky about charging V. I mean, Come on, it was only .02 of a volt that killed them.:wtf::
I don't know about CR2's but they do make P/C. ones in 10440, in the silver colored batt. Around $6 a piece, although.

Damn, well that's lame. I now hate all lithium batteries, not just the 10440's. I wish I would have known this before I ordered a CR2 host for my new red small open can diode from the BDR-205 sled. Oh well. The cut off voltage for the flexdrive is 2.0 V, so I guess they'll be fine, right? I mean thats what the cut off voltage says on the battery. Thanks for your reply guys.

These are 3V li-ions! You shouldn't charge them using 4,2V (like 3,6/3,7V rated li-ions). My charger charges them up to 3,6V max.

My mistake, my batteries are 3.6V. Wasn't paying attention.:cryyy:
Same goes for the 3.0V too. (they are picky SOB's)
