That sucks man.
I've been both burgled and robbed at gun point, and though both are bad, for some reason, I felt worse about the burglary, that happened when we were out of the house, than the robbery, that happened at a restaurant.

Putting aside the danger of having an idiot pointing a firearm at me during the robbery, the burglary really upset me the most. There must be something deep inside us that innately detests the sneak thief’s violation of what we consider our home space.

You definately have my condolences.
All I can suggest, is to put up good defenses, but don’t let it consume you.
Keep moving forward.

Peace.
SK

I just hope nobody gets killed with those guns. I do think those lasers will get them into trouble. Maybe talk to some local bar or club owners to see if anyone braught the lasers in to try and sell them. Let's face it. They don`t have any practical use for a gun toting, thieving criminal.

If I win the lottery, I'll buy you all new stuff, guns, lasers, diodes, drivers....everything.

I'm truly upset and feel sorry for your losses... and I barely know you.

Peace, Steve

I absolutely agree.  The pistols are the biggest problem.  They are registered so they will show up again (unless they end up in Mexico).  Unfortunately, it has been long enough now that it will be after they are used in a crime.  I just hope that it will be a property crime.

What a drag! I can try my best to help locate your stuff thorough the underground networks in the area. Im from So Cal, right now i live in Central California but i know lots of shady people in socal. I know a lot of places that people like to sell stolen merchandise. The only places i can see these items moved(aside from the guns/jewelery) are either craigslist or a place like the pomona swap meet or other "swap meets."  Please post what ever pictures you might have of your stuff so we all know what we are looking for. Also, it might help if we know what kind of neighborhood this was in(mostly blacks/Mexicans?) Chances are its someone in the neighborhood that took your shit. One of your neighbors who saw you drop your shit off and new that the house was vacant. Professionals wont steal in their own neighborhoods. The jewelery and metals are prob already at the pawn shop but more then likely those will never be recovered. This really sucks man I hope you come back stronger. Now you have a completely clean slate with a chance to start over again, this might be a blessing in disguise 6 years down the road. Good Luck and post pictures if you can.

OMG!!! That's terrible!!!
I hope you get all your stuff back...

Why did you have to move out of the house?
Was it a business trip, or "wife jealousy" reasons?

Last time someone tried to mug me, I left him lying on the floor with his face covered in blood, and a broken arm.

I'm sorry to hear about that, Dave. Hope stuff starts working out for you in the end (darkest before the dawn, and about 100 other clichés go here ;) ). Have you posted the serial number of the RPL anywhere, so people can ID it?

@Spyderz, you were lucky to be in a situation where that was possible - 2 of my friends got mugged on Friday by around 10 people all on bikes, all of whom were armed with flick-knives or similar. They both lost all of their valuables, and one got punched in the head (though is fine now). Sad thing is, mugging is fast becoming a profitable and organised crime (if it isn't already), and it needs to be stopped. I've never been burgled, but mugging is not a nice experience either.

Sorry to hear that Dave. I'm guessing it would be safe to say that this qualifies as your worst day ever!

I wonder if they'll blind themselves (or someone else) with your RPL-400. IMO it's quite likely.

Actually, no. As maddening as this is, it is just "stuff." I have had much worse days in my life where it wasn't just "stuff."
