I being one of the new guys on the block have come to the conclusion that LPF has a ton of member of which aprox 1/4 are new members and 1/4 are Junior Members.. Thats half of the total membership. I am getting to my point.. if you read the stickies and rules and follow vets advice you get along in LPF pretty quickly and they will help you even if the question been asked a million times. The thing I think that people join LPF is that they will get free stuff or things of that nature... You have to want to work for it. You have to want to glean the knowledge from the guys that have been doing this for years other wise they will not take the time out of what they are doing to help you..

Spend the time getting to know the vets and older members of LPF they will most of the time give you what you need in the form of advice in getting a project off the ground or help with a issue concerning a problem with a device

Put in your dues.. Is all I can say.. I working my tail off and I have a long way to go in order to make my self a active contributing member of LPF. Do your self a favor if you want to join LPF read, read, read, and then if you still want to have a fun time and get lots of information and help then JOIN.. But do not do it for the simple fact your going to get something for nothing. Because I will tell you what you will not get nothing for free you earn it by hard work asking the right kinds of question and doing your research!

Thanks to JmillerDoc, Jander, BubloicChronic, AdamBowker, and others that have made my short stay at LPF eventful and full of Knowledge

Now if we could get the serious people that really are interested in LASERS to follow this lead I'm sure we would be on the moon a lot sooner, well said :gj: deserves a +5

Vortish, right on the money! I'm a noob and I will be for a few more months. :D
I don't even have a soldering iron yet and I have a 50mW chinese green laser that is approaching it's old days, I need to buy some new batteries for it to see if it still works.
I can't wait for that soldering iron because I'll probably be getting it next week and I'll buy some batteries as well. So until I get those I can just read a lot. But I'll be a noob for a while on here anyways and I'm happy that I got into this again. :)

+rep to you vortish.

I agree 100% with you Vortish. I now have all the parts together for my first plug and burn build. I now have a better camera for documenting this build so that all the noobs like myself can see, that it is indeed possible with the knowledge given here , a build is possible with limited skills and equipment. It is through these easy builds that we can get the confidence to tackle bigger and harder builds! Thank you to everyone!

I was looking at your pics Pol and I really like that silver one that has the blue glow to it

I wish I had the money to buy it... Thing cost prob around 200 just for the host and pill and such.. what was the mw on that one
