So, what exactly do you want? Do you want a nice picture to use as a banner ad? Do you want an animated GIF? Do you want a Flash animation? What sizes do you want it to be?

Oh, so it's like that then is it? :) I thought this was just going to be a fun little competition. But oh well, here we go...

I do this kind of thing professionally as part of my work as a Flash developer. Although my business has now moved to doing Game Development, I still do the odd freelance advertisements and animations for various parties. And although Flash ads and animations are my specialty in this line of work, I have an extensive graphic design portfolio with this work as well.

I've done work for various people on this site, though that was a while ago and only free stuff. I can provide dozens of references to companies I've done work for and I can provide a portfolio if needed.

:)

I think it is a fun kind of thing, there are prizes.

Yeah, that's what I thought. Well, I'll submit something. In fact, I'll submit a few, I always like to make multiple versions for clients.

Still no information what's wanted though :) Size? Format? Style?

:tired:

As with all projects its the design, not the schooling, that wins the game. If you want to waste your valuable time for a cheap laser and goggles, than have at it. Personally I don't like submitting finished designs without a cash payment. But I have nothing better to do, and I could use the goggles. Good luck with your design.

Well, wasn't stipulated whether it was a rough outline or a fully complete advert that was required here. In fact, almost no information has been given at all.

Laser-wave. Please explain what it is you want?

But anyway, I do this kind of thing for fun these days. The money comes from the game development work I do, I just like doing little things like this to mix it up. I don't want the prizes, I just want to make an ad because I like making ads :P

Well some of us need the prizes, so why not let others have at it? Or is it an ego thing? You sounded pretty serious earlier for just "having fun".

Because making ads for me is a serious business, was part of my job for a while after all ;) I'm still confused as to what laserwave want here though.

As for prizes, other people can have them! If any submission I make gets a prize, I'll donate it or raffle it or give it to the next deserving person, whatever. I just want to make an ad because I like making ads :)

Hey Guys....

I read the first post... and from what I can understand... "bridge" wants
an advertising Banner to be used by his company here on LPF...
He wants any member to submit their ideas to him by July 15 2009... and
he will choose the ones he likes and will give prizes stipulated in his first post..

Seems clear enough to me.... :yh:
I'm in... Now to find my wax crayons....

I'm currently designing a full sized banner for you, but I'd really appreciate it if you could upload the original "LASERWAVE" logo so I can work with quality images. I'll use the one on your website for now, later I can replace it.

EDIT:
Okay, I've done some prototypes. They're not finished work as I haven't received the high quality LaserWave logo yet, so everything you see here is the basic idea for the banner.

Please tell me what you like and/or don't like about the prototypes. All colours can be changed easily, I just didn't play with them a lot because of the bad quality image of the logo I got off your website.

The idea was to make a simple and clean static banner, not a crappy animated one (they're really annoying) that at the same time goes with the LPF custom theme (and LPF's logo, which I proudly designed)

To sum up, just let me know what you'd like changed and I'll do it ASAP.

The Prototypes:

See, in some of the black background banners I had to change the colours of the logo because I could not remove all the white successfully due to the huge amount of noise the .jpg had. This problem will be solved when you send me the original logo.

PS: Of course I can just remove the background so it fits the forum background, just remember these are prototypes.

A high res logo would be good or if you have it in vector format that would be great. Let the creativity flow!

thanks again, everybody.
I received 2 emails today.
one is from "Rog8811"
the other is "Nikokapo"
thanks for both of you effort and well design banner.

the same thought here, :), simple and attractive is the best, :).
our logo is in attach files, any more information needed, please don't hesitate to tell me, thanks.
for boost more interesting, we will random choose a few lucky one who give us their design and give them some little gift.(except the three prizes, maybe their design not used by our company).
Best regards!
