I woke up the other night at 2AM... Some ricers (kids with cheaply modified Hondas) thought it would be a good idea to park across the street from my house and set the bass on their music to "rumble my house" setting. I gave them 10 minutes... Now if I had to get out of bed, I wasn't sure if I'd be pointing everything I had near car or going outside and using a hose. Better yet now that I'm awake I could have killed their bass system with the magnet I have.

Ha, usually I just let off a few rounds from my .44 and my neighborhood quiets down for the night.

Haha ! that would be so shocking if you were lasering someone from a distance and BAM 1.5W of light goes blasting past you ;D ;D

I've never had to return fire on anyone except my friend, who decided to take my 30mW and shine it in my face, even though I told him specifically not to shine it near ANYONE. I just picked up my laser glasses and returned fire. Next time it will be the Dilda

I kid :p

Sometimes, after hours we tape books of matches to ourselves, pop on some safety goggles and have a Hercules fight.

...Okay, NO we don't really do that, but it does sound like an awesome YouTube video. Haha! Please, please don't try this.

BAM! BAMBAMBAMBAAAAAM!!! Between the Hercules 350, the (2) greens (200 and 50mW respectively), the 3 Dildas, and the 6X Bluray beams that we simultaneously sent raining down on the culprits lair from the sky, somewhere a distinct point was silently yet brightly conveyed, and the assault from down the road stopped quite abruptly with a really, REALLY loud "yelp" from the general direction of the opposition

You sir, have just won TWO free internets! What you have done is pure WIN; enjoy your prize.

Yea, returning fire in such a situation would do no good than to start a laser fight with high probability that someone is gonna lose and get hit in the eye possibly suffering permanent damage. He needed a kick across the face. ::)

Does anyone else remember "laser tag"? It was kinda fun back when I was kid. An annoying alarm would buzz on your head if hit they didn't even have laser pointers for sale back then.

Laserglow actually took a company trip to play laser tag about a year ago. It was hilarious! I took a Galileo-5 in with me to use as a "laser sight", which totally overpowered the crappy Class II red lasers they were using in the laser guns. Even the people running the place could not believe how bright it was. (They use a lot of haze for effect, which made my Galileo look like a death ray.)

However, the guys at the paintball arena have no understanding of laser safety and will not allow even a 1mW red pointer to be used as a laser sight for "eye safety" reasons. Explaining to them that I have a professional understanding of laser safety did not help. Apparently 500 ft/sec projectiles are safer than 1mW of red light. Go fig.

wow what type of paint ball guns do you play with?
all of paint ball is limited down to 280fps :p being a paint ball player my self 5oo would be some serious stuff ( tho i have managed 380fps with my gun at 25 BPS : ) ) but that is typical of a paint ball ref as their over concerned about safety i think, or at least every one i have meet and that's been quite a few but that could be the reason why paint ball is one of the safer sports to play

We cranked the heck out of a Spyder TL and put on an extra long barrel. Admittedly, 500 ft/sec was waaay to fast, we broke a lot of balls in the barrel and in the end we decided it was not safe. Sniping with that gun was incredible for a few rounds but at close range it was too dangerous.

Sniped at 500fps would probably freak me out as bad as those poor kids we lased (pretty sure my ensuing reaction would get me kicked off the field for good, too ...)

This story made me wake up my girlfriend with a huge laugh just from picturing the scene.. damn that must have been awesome!
It also reminds me of my similar but less remarkable story: About a month ago I was away on a snowboarding trip, having just caught my IgorT 6x in the mail on the very same day I was leaving! Me and a couple of friends were standing on our balcony in the evening, looking at the snow below and shining the beautiful violet light around, amazed at how great and magical it was.. my first blu-ray and best of all my lasers. We see some night-skiers further uphill so I put away the laser so as not to risk blinding or freaking them out. I don't get out the laser again as I want to preserve the battery life for the entire trip, so we just stand there talking for a bit.
Suddenly this smallish (probably 5mW) green laser lights up our balcony and flashes past 4-5 times. The beam is clear through the falling snow and I pull out my little friend and give them a good shine of violet light back (at this power approx. the same visibility as their green). The distance is more than enough for this to be safe. Instantly a few shouts echo through the valley and we never see the green light again.
The next day we hear some people by a ski lift talking about lasers and I walk over and ask if they were playing with a green laser last night. They look at me slightly embarrased and say yes, then ask if I was the owner of the "blue" laser. They were so intrigued by it that they asked where I got it, so I wrote down the LPF homepage and said to search for a guy called IgorT.

So if any of you French guys are reading this, greetings and hope you are enjoying your laser :D
To anyone else, I hope you also enjoyed my story!

BCM and Jaseth, now that's what I call awesome stories! I was laughing so hard that I woke up my sleeping dad...

Imagine that you're a little kid shining this kEwL lazorr you got from Ebay at different things in your town. Then you're bombarded by several powerful lasers of three different colours... PWNED. :p
