I own a couple surefire hosts. Has anyone here made a surefire host into a laser? The hosts are very nice, well built and have a very solid feel to them. Unfortunately they are very expensive.

SureFire is Your Source for SureFire Flashlights, SureFire Batteries & Flashlight Accessories

I lost my most recent surefire flashlight, and it makes me angry everytime I think about it. How lame can I be to lose it. It was one of their combat series. 200 lumens and cost around $185.

Thanks,

Michael

Michael,

There is no challenge to using a surefire host at all, any number of people on here with a lathe to could make a custom heatsink for it. It would just be a somewhat expensive build. You can send out the host to someone with a lathe, or possibly just some very precise measurements.

There is a chance that there are heatsinks already out there that would fit the host you have.

I lost two 6P lights over the last four years. Both went through a lot of abuse, one I actually drover over:eek: Always sucks to lose a light or a laser.

You didnt post a link to the flashlights you have/had. Just the main page. So it looked like spam.
