That's great! I thought there was something off about the description- it seemed kind of tongue in cheek, but then I saw the disclaimer.

They had one for sale 2 years ago that was a wireless power extension cord. They almost had me too... :p

That would be cool Wireless power : ) ..... maby some day in a day not to far away :)..... what do you think it would use microwaves?

wireless power is allready invenetd, its just VERY VERY inneficient and lossy, its not practical. And also requires a huge transformer. LOL i wonder if anyone tried buying that?? ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

i dont know if it was meant as a joke or not or if the other story ive heard is true but there is one instructable where the guy makes a coil in place of a light socket and then attached coils to all his devices to power them "wirelessly"

my electronics teacher told me about the story of the farmer whos land had a power line running through it so he made a huge coil and placed it over/under the power line and sucked up all their electricity. he was then sued even though it was on his land.

but uh..yeah.. wireless lights

the wireless light thing you linked to could work, but only if those powerlines were REALLY high voltage! I have heard the farmers story too, mythbusters tested it once, and it ws plausible, but would require a huge amount fo wire. And that coil one you mentioned is most likely fake, its not that simple.
