I've read the sticky, next question I have is supplies... Would Aixiz be the best place to start or do you recommend other suppliers? Any pointers would be appreciated.

Also, what are the differences in the various drivers offered? What makes the 445 driver special and could it be used for another diode?

Go with Aixiz....always good to buy state side if you can(nothing personal to our European friends.)They are a family run company.

Also there are many different kinds of drivers. Read up on linear and boost drivers here on the forums. Rule of thumb for drivers that i'v noticed is linear takes two batteries for a handheld and boost takes one. I'm not sure of many boost drivers out there aside from the Flexdrive for red and blue and Boostdrive for 405nm purple.

Read up on the different drivers here on the forum....you'll find what you need for your particular application.:beer:

OP: Aixiz is good and very reliable source, experienced people. You can also search some threads in the Companies section and find more useful and more specific information on what you want to get..
