Apparently it's not only CW but has quite a long duty cycle...

(From another article about the JPSSL):

"“We have also shown that the lethality of a laser results from much more than just the power level, Stephenson continues. “The laser must have good beam quality and a long run time. // That’s why we believe it’s time to take high-energy lasers out of the lab and begin integrating them onto the battlefield.”

... I think one "spec" we haven't used here in regards to lasers is "lethality". Kind of freaky what they're working on.

couple that with our r/c. and its dangerous as hell. course i am under the firm belief. why can't the people that start the battles fight them. other than it being a good population thinner.
