Should I order from O-like right now or no

So I remember how cool O-like was back in the good ol' days, 2009-2010-2011. Now I can see that some people are starting to say that O-like has really become crap and they will send in a broken laser pointer like 40-60% of the time. If they ship the laser in a good working order, then the delivery destroys the laser because of O-like's weak packaging techniques.

Another issue I have. Is O-like, right now, 100% legit? Has anyone ordered from O-like in the past few months or perhaps this weak? I don't want to spend $59.99 on a seemingly good looking <100mW green laser and never receive a confirmation from O-like because Susie just took my money and ran off. I know she asks for Paypal, but that's the thing. It's paypal, getting my money back would be a near impossibility due to the fact that she's in China.

If anyone at all can help me out, that'd be great.

I haven't ordered from O-like in many years, 4 years. I don't know if they are still operational like they used to be.

It is a shot in the dark.
Why not buy a laser from members here or get parts from here and build your own?
Which ever way you choose, good luck!!

Sorry Laser Chick. I don't buy from random people. Only Ebay, Amazon, or trusted laser sites. I don't have enough knowledge to build my own functioning laser; if I had significant knowledge on how to build one do you think I'd be asking about this?

And scams from random people online are off the charts, especially in 2015.

I recently bought the 500mW crown green laser from them. They shipped it with almost no protection. Just the DHL outer bag, box, and cheap holster protecting the laser on its way here. However, the laser works and is a little over spec. It has some stability issues but otherwise works as advertised. So I can confirm they will at least not scam you.

I would shop somewhere else though because waiting 20 days for a laser just to find out it's broken really sucks.

Even pros and expert laser builders still buy lasers when they want certain styles or features.
People know how to make coffee or a hamburger but there is still Starbucks and Burger King, right?
Plus if a member was scamming other members here, their rep would be very low or in the red.
Also, veteran members would not be vouching for them as you would have seen if you took 2 minutes to read the thread.
Yes you are correct, you do have a lot to learn.

Agreed with LC. Buying lasers off ebay or whatever is the worst possible thing you could ever do. The chances of getting a severely underspec laser are significant. Buying from forum members has been the greatest experience ever for me when it comes to buying stuff online. I know what I'm getting, I can easily contact the seller and it never disappoints because many sellers here have excellent reputation.

I suggest you start learning about how lasers work and build your own in the future if you wish to get something of decent quality.

If people were scamming here they wouldn't have enough time to do it a second time!

You think buying. Laser On eBay will decrease your chances of getting ripped off or outright scammed? You have much to learn and if you wish to learn on this forum I'd suggest loosing the attitude. LC was offering a very good solution and IS a trusted seller. She's only "random" to you. I have now done tree transactions with her and they all were very good buying experiences.
Enjoy your crappy eBay lasers.

What's with the influx of rude new memebers the days?

agreed! This guy has no clue what he is talking about! LPF is the one place you will NOT get scammed at! I my self will NOT buy lasers or parts needed for my builds unless it's from a member here!:thinking:

Thank you very much for the support fellow members :)
I always check out each and every item very carefully and if there ever is even the smallest of issues, I always disclose it to the buyer up front.
I am here to enjoy, learn, help and share about lasers.
I do sell lasers and accessories also and would never consider scamming or trying to sneak a defect past a buyer, that is plain stupid and I would be so disappointed in myself for even entertaining that thought.
I am human and do make mistakes, sorry gozert :/
Anyways, give me a poke or send a PM if you ever need anything or want to just say hi. Enjoy the weekend and lase on everyone! :)
