Thought I would make a pointer with a good feel and nice look. And it would have less of a chance of breaking. I bored it out then machined the threads. I turned down the outside last to give the appearance of being seamless.

No I do not sell anything. I just do it for fun.

Nice! what power module did you use?

I stripped out one of those 4 dollar eBay pens :D. Cheapest way to get a module and driver. I don't have a lot of extra money so I have to improvise.

Also I machined the bronze a little tight so the heatsink made a good connection to the host for the battery+. Worked like a charm.

$4.00 eBay pen

Keeping in mind, It's probably 20 - 40mW.. Maybe even more.. Great work on the build! It's great seeing people improvise and the ideas people get.. +1

Thank you all for the compliments. I'm enjoying this new hobby. Lots to learn and the possibilities are endless.

The pointer feels great in your hand. Has a good weight to it and just feels solid.
