I discovered a decent scratch on my lens while trying to adjust it. Will this affect the output, range of my laser? Are there any household gadgets i can take apart and replace the lens with?

Yes, it can affect your range, output. Though it should not affect output very much.

We don't know what kind of laser you have. Each laser is unique and there is usually a specific way to take it apart without damage. Tools may vary.

Post a photo and we can further help you.

Edit: also you "may" not be able to replace the lens.
