Default Scanner ?

Do the printers/Scanners scan with lasers ? I could buy a cheap scanner, open it and take out laser, but I want to make sure it does....

Nope - it uses high powered flourescent bulbs Laser printers have some really nice mirrors and such though ! :-)

ya they use ccfl(cold cathode flourescent) tubes, although scanners have some nice long rectangular mirrors aswell!
