Thanks I have tried all these things. Still no success. I will probably have to wait and see what sanwu says.

Could possibly be a bad tailcap switch but that is uncommon--Sanwu does test them all before shipping.

Here is a video from Sanwu just in case you need to see how it works.

Are the batteries in correctly--someone mentioned that the Spiker is case negative so positive end goes in first--negative to tailcap---See: http://laserpointerforums.com/f65/sanwu-spiker-case-positive-97361.html

When I got my first Sanwu that had a multi-mode driver in it it was a real pain. There's probably nothing wrong with your unit is just going to take some getting use to. When you put code in steady and not real fast, smoothly. And after it changes you need to let it run for about 10 seconds before you shut it off. If you tried a few times in a row and no luck, take out the batteries wait 30 seconds and try it again. Once you learn the rhythm it's not to bad. Hope this helps, great unit you bought.

Well all be dammed. You are a genius. I have been playing with this dang thing all day. (9 hours). It just came on. Now I am scared as heck to use it. Thank you.

Yeah, the multi-mode Sanwu stuff does take some getting used to. The timing of the clicks seems somewhat unforgiving.

Glad you got your Laser working although I'm a
bit disappointed that the seller had not contacted
you yet... :undecided:

Good call BobMc... worth a reward.;)

Hello Jerry, He reached us later via email and we did get back to him in less than six hours.

Just like what Bob said, the "half-taps" should be done slowly and smoothly instead of hurrying.

There are some techniques you can follow and these will defintely help new users:

1. At least wait one second after you turned on the laser, then do the half-taps

2. Do the half-tap slowly, hold the push cap for about 1/3 seconds each tap.

3. Most importantly, wait two seconds after the input, the laser will switch to strobe mode automatically when it has unlocked. Don't turn off the laser immediately after input because the taps doesn't seem to work.

Hmmm.. He didn't mention that....
Glad to see you respond here as well...;)

Did you ever get a good response? I am having the same problem with the same laser.

This thread has been dead for over a year. This is necro posting and is frowned upon. Please read the forum rules and introduce yourself in the welcome section.

It can hard to get it out of lower power mode, you just have to keep trying different pressure taps.

Not only did you necropost this thread, you failed to read all the posts or you would have seen the problem was resolved. Do not do this again.
