ok the diode and driver i have say it works best at 1.25A

now the batteries i have are 18650 3.7v li-ion batteries, the trustfire brand at a capacity of 3000mAh... so if 3000mAh is 3A its too powerful... buts thats just the capacity right?

How many mAh are my 18650 3000mAh batteries actually giving off so i know how many to use for my laser?

APPRECIATE IT!!!!!

Think of it like a gas tank.

Whether you have a ten or twenty gallon (mAh) gas tank, your engine (laser driver) is going to produce the same amount of power.

3000mAh =/= 3A

It means the battery can deliver 3A during 1 hour hence 3000mAh=3Ah=3A per hour.
Or 1A for 3 hours or .5A for 6 hours but you get the point.

I don't thrust the capacity on any ***fire battery. You are lucky to get the half of it.

That driver is a boost. You need only one 3.7 li-ion cell. Any mAh cell will do. More capacity means more runtime.
