I have the turle beach wireless headset, the only problem is they take 2xAAA batteries and they run out SO quickly.

I would love to mod the headset to hold a 3v lithium pack.

I've looked around and can't find what i need so i was hoping maybe someone knew.

Doesn't anyone sell like a DIY kit which contains a lithium pack, a plug-in and like a piece that would connect to the battery that you'd plug in to charge it?

I thought about using an old cell phone, but the battery charger is all integrated into the main boards of the cell phones so it wouldn't work.

I'd love to mod the headset so i could plug it in and charge it when i'm not using it....

The problem is, all single lithium cells are 3.7V, so you'd have to use a regulator to get it to 3V.

I think there is already a lithium battery the size of a AAA? But you'd have to reconfigure the contacts in parallel and add a little regulator in any case.

@ Mohrenberg: You say 2xAAA The only thing that comes to my mind is 3xCR2-3v in parallel, just charge them completely (remember to use a 3v charger, not a 3.7v or the cells may explode!), pack them in parallel. After that you can leave a couple wires to recharge. My doubt is how much space is it on the batt compartment to do this, in a normal setup 3cr2 would not fit, and a flat cell of that size wouldn't give us much power. Besides this I haven't seen 3v Lithium flat cells. Maybe some deeper mod in the 2xAAA container is needed.

edit: BTW with this setup you end with, lets say 3xcr2 600Mah = 3v 1800mah. Sounds good to me. :)

Well you can put the 10440 cell in one of the batt holder and a little switching regulator in the other holder so it wuld be something like this:
