I am going to say no on that one, beam shot looks like <1000mw. You could annihalate a match with 5 watts, not just light the tip. Just my semi-educated guess

No, of course it's not real.
As far as I'm aware of 1W of green is about the maximum power of DPSS green, in a handheld.
And you're not getting one of those form some shady website with engrish descriptions,
and certainly not for 600$ either.

Also, beamshots mean nothing.

nope, 5000mW of true 532nm IR filtered is gonna cost as much as a old car. sorry

For $600, just no. Not this one at least: look at the beamshot, that is not even 300mW.

There is one review.
This is not 5000mW, i bought this and it does 200mW not IR filtered, this is such a lie, and a terrible laser. This company is nothing but lies, and you can't even get 5000mW in a handheld laser, nobody buy from this website it is all cheats and scams!

I find the review much more believable than the sites claims.
# Light color: Green,very beautiful.
# Powered by AAA rechargeable batteries (Batteries will be included in package).
# Wavelength: 405nm.
This in particular seems a bit inconsistent.

A relative of mine living in China does claim to have two handhelds of 5W or maybe 1,5W. I am looking forward to examine them.

Be careful, ask him who actually claims 5 or 1.5W, your friend or the manufacturer.

It is the manufacturers claim, he realise that it is not likely to be correct. :)

5W would mean how much .. 20W pump ? More like 30W right ?

My 50mW have a tailcap current of 430mA.
430mA x 3.6V = 1548mW
That gives an efficiency of app 3.3%

For 5W you would need something like 150W from the battery.
That could be a 50W pump diode. :D
(Two 18650 LiFePo4 could deliver 150W for a few minutes, the driver would be more tricky to find.)

I have just had a look at them.
It turned out to be one app. 75mW focusable with a broken tailcap lock, and one with no current draw.

It looks kind of odd with a <1500mW warning sticker on something like that. :D

Maybe they just had no other foil warning labels in stock :D

Yes that must be it, and it is technically correct. :D
He were pretty impressed when I handed over my spare goggles and lit a cigarette with my 1.2W 445. Next month he will be back in China and likely to look for a supply of diodes, it will be interesting to see what he turns up.

Sorry, I don't understood very well. You have a relative that will search for diodes, in China? :)

Yes, I have a relative that lives part of the year in China and appear to have some business connections there.
He may well try to look for the source of the C@@@o 140's. (I assume they are made there)
It is not likely to be successful, but maybe he can get them cheaper than here?
