These are all just from the General section. There are also threads in the Companies section, the Red section, the Green section, and even the Deals & Discounts section. Search "FDA" or "ban" or "dx" on the forum, and plenty of results will come back. Also, the FDA's website contains all the pertinent information. If you search thoroughly and still can't find, people will be happy to let you know, or will be happy to confirm what what you found on your own.

Good luck.

Re: the ban

the focusable baton style lasers have a shutter and a key, this may be why it doesnt say (non-US). I'm having a replacement sent to me with no problem :)

Re: the ban

Look, read the FDA site. You could buy a million mW laser as long as it has the safety systems required by the FDA. Get it people? This is not a ban like Australia. This is enforcement requiring specific safety systems on lasers. Those laser systems marked non-US do not meet the safety requirements. If they meet the safety requirements you can buy anything. I'm sorry this is a bit forceful but my God, the answers are right on the site that controls the systems import. This is not directed solely at you tatman but to all who think they are responsible enough to own lasers but not responsible enough to do the work to know their hobby. If the same question keeps popping up it's due to one of two things: ignorance or laziness. I'll leave it to the next post originator to display which they are but both conditions are not conducive to responsible laser ownership.

It's a bit silly to say 'a million mW', Frothy. =P

God forbid anyone actually use the ol' noodle and search for the info themselves. This problem of not looking for oneself is not specific to this forum.

Sorry I asked.

ahh, don't worry about it. This ban freaks us all out at first (me anyway). So we go asking rather than looking.

So if you have these features...you are legal?

Don't you have to get so called accession number? How do you get this number? Where is the official FDA doc(the link)?
