Damn, missed the whole thing..

Lasers emit photons and radio antennas emit radio waves.

From what I understand, both photons and radio waves are electromagnetic radiation. Only visible light has a frequency between 400 and 1000 Tera hertz.

So to keep the question short, would it be theoretically possible to make radio wave emitting lasers or light emitting radio antenna?

- Theoretically it is possible to make coherent beam of any electromagnetic source, as they only differ in frequency they travel as. Its like asking 20 years ago if it is possible to make 405nm laser.

- As for analog information, or digital data, it has been transmitted via lasers for decades already through optical cables or simply by shooting a laser over neighborhood roofs in order to eliminate costs of installing new optical cables through streets.

Making a radio wave spectrum laser beam would be tricky imo as waves are huge and it might be almost impossible to get enough energy to have them efficient enough within a reasonable beam specs. I'm sure its possible to make it coherent, but the strength of that laser beam would be on a totally different scale (i assume) than short wave lasers we use today.

That is why they didn't go towards that direction in laser development, but rather towards Ultraviolet !
