PS here is 2017 Laserpointersafety link that discusses a new laser safety concept, the Nominal Ocular Dazzle Distance (NODD) concept and how to calculate it.

“The MDE is the threshold laser irradiance at the eye below which a given target can be detected. It can also be used as a measure of the minimum laser irradiance required to obscure a given target.”

“The NODD is the minimum distance for the visual detection of a target in the presence of laser dazzle. It also represents the maximum effective range of a laser dazzle system designed to prevent the visual detection of a target.”

@ Radim

I took some post grad courses back in the 1990s that were mostly chemistry and medical in nature. Plant and animal physiology were especially informative. Also, pharmacology was very informative if you want to know exactly how toxins get into our systems and are eliminated. The bat's echo location is a good source of adaptive evolution, but I think the dolphins sonar capabilities are far more fascinating when you take into account of their ability to "see" with this evolutionary adaption. I think I have side lined this thread enough for now. :yh:

Order has been placed. Decided on a Yamataka Dazzler series 700-1000mw's @ 520 nm's. Will do a review with pics when it gets State side, and I have the time. Looking forward to checking this puppie out myself. :)

PM coming

I sorry, I've had just so much going on lately when I'm home, just havn't had the time to do a review on my Yamataka ( and others including my rgb ) yet. But it's in my "to do" list. :)

Still may be a bit though, looks like I'll be moving out farther out in the desert. More beam shots. ( eventually ). :)

+rep for that avatar.. very nice...is that snow??

:thanks: for the reps. :)

No it's newly slurry sealed yard in Phillipsburg's Mo. it looks like ice, but it not, just the reflections off the drop lot. Your the third person to ask, so it does look like it, but sorry it's not. But it does give me ideas for some beam shots this winter. :)

A google translator would have capitalised "thanks" at the beginning of a new sentence. My wife is Russian, if you need help translating I can have her contact you.

Just write in Russian here, she will do so. I am familiar with translators, syntax errors like you just made are not common in translators, what translator are you using? Please provide the original text in Russian exactly as you entered it. I would like to see what it does when I run it, but I need the URL to the translator and the original text.

More of this language barrier BS ?

If I get onto a Russian forum I look around and leave, who want's to use a forum where every heading and the entire layout is in a foreign language?

How is this new member making an account or navigating this confusing maze of foreign labeled mystery?

Only a Russian who can read English would even try.
