yea, i got another newbie question...
is it necessary to purchase a laser and have the batteries sold separately to get past the U.S. customs check? i dont want to pay more for shipping if i can order it fine together. also, how does having the items shipped separately bypass the u.s. customs? (sorry for my stupidity on this stuff, haha :))

It's not absolutely necessary to ship a laser and batteries separately; Customs can't "test" a laser of there aren't batteries and a tail cap that come with it. It's just a safe route people usually take. Many people have ordered lasers with batteries in the same package and they haven't been confiscated.

I have never had any problems getting lasers in W/batteries.
(maybe just luck) but O-like labels them "flashlight"
But for $4 extra ,why take a chance?
