I see it now, 26650 with a case reducer, just run good quality IMR/INR cells as specified, if you want to use the case reducer then use good quality IMR/INR 18650's as specified.
Draw for 2 cells is 3.0 amps for the 7W NUBM44 with SXD driver, this 4W using likely a decent driver as it's a Jet is probably around 2-2.5 amps, no problem for good quality 18650's
RedCowboy, like I said in the original post, I do not want to have to extent the length of this laser anymore than it already is.
11in is already pushing it for me. I'm aware I will get much better battery life with 2 18650s/26650s but I'm not a fan of the though of having a 14in laser.
They would fit fine, the springs are there to prevent that problem. The difference in total length is 2mm, not 20mm. And the width of 26350 is the same as 26650 so I wouldn't worry about it.Oh wow those are some interesting looking batteries haha, but they actually might be perfect for my situation.
Since this laser says to use 16340s and I'd be using 26350s I wonder if that extra 20mm would fit?
Are there any other reasons why 26350s wouldn't work for this laser?
Oh that's right, I'm still getting used to how to read the measurements of these batteries (that 0 at the end threw me off). So yeah 2mm should definitely fit.
Anyway, thanks alot for that link; I will most likely use 26350s in this laser. And if I get this laser and it turns out that 13.7in isn't too long for me I'll just get a pair of 26650s and have an insane battery life haha.
This is a different topic now, but this Jet laser was the first REAL high powered laser I could find with testing to back it up; do you know of any other REAL high powered blue/green lasers? I want at least a 3W blue one and maybe a 1W+ green one.
All the other "high powdered" lasers I found were just a lie like all the lasers at laserpointerpro.com.
