HI I just got my new dragon laser, supposed to be around 95mW. The problem is is that when I press the on/off switch the dot is very very bright for a second or two, like what it should look like, then after that second or two, it is very dim. It's really strange. It's like it is the 95mW laser for a second after I turn it on then after that second it is like a crappy 5mW, it actually dims while its on. Help!!

:-/ Sorry to hear this but before you panic....make sure you are using fresh/new batteries.

All DPSS lasers power output do fluctuate a little....this is normal as this it the laser peaking then settles down to its stated output. But if your laser is dimming further to the same brightness as your 5mW then thats not good.

Check the batteries first then email dragon for a returns address/RMA etc

Let us know how you get on nin1337 :)

To me that sounds like battery problems, I remember when I first go my nexus, the exact thing happened, I was really scared until I got new batts. These laser are really sensitve, they NEED new batteries.

If you really want to rule it out.. go get a pair of lithium E2's 1.5 Volt each.
Or some rechargable NiMh ..... both are better than new Alkaline at holding voltage under load.
Alkalines are good when new for a short while, then once about 10% of thier use is gone, they just can't deliver the needed amperge or current to power these higher powered units. AAA batteries are pretty tiny.
