Hello.

I took some pictures, my camera isn't the best on close shot pictures (neither is it on long shot pictures - heck, it isn't good at all) so I hope you can see something.

I would guestimate it's 1/2 inside or 2/3.

I tried pressing this morning even more.. I put the press under my beds foot and sitting on the bed, it didn't work (100 kilos pressure and still not pressed..), putting it between two closets and pushing them to each other, nope, putting it on my table and then a book over it and pressing all I could with all my body parts, still didn't work..

How much pressure does this thing need? Like a container or something?? Or am I doing it wrong? How far in should it go? All the way in?

Thanks.

Afaik it should be in past flush. What are you using to press it in?

A diode press from Mohrenberg (seen in the first picture right behand the fingers) and a sleeve to make it centered.

Did you make sure that the diode and the module were completely clean of debris before you put them together? Is it pressed in at an angle (hard to tell from pics)?

I did make sure of that and it is an perfectly straight angle.

Thanks.

it should press in past flush as said. Unless the recess wasn't deep enough.

It is very strange, it wont press. Can I take out the diode in some way and start over or is it already done?

Can't it work like this? When it is sticking out by half or something?

Thanks.

I use a vice to press diodes in. Make sure that there are no metal burrs or deformities on the Aixiz module.

Moh module is an Aixiz module. I bought them as well.
There are variations in the dimensions of the objects. Sometimes it doesn't fit and you need press very hard. Like Ghostchrome said, use a vice.

well , strange!
i never had a problem pressing the modules in
i also use a mini-vice that i purchased for the
sole purpose!
have u tried using some other housing?
maybe the diode is a few microns more and the
moh's housing is super tight simultaneously!
secondly u can try pressing a dead diode first
and see whats the real problem is.. hope this helps!

If it can't be remove gently, don't push it. You will break it. And you simple need vice to press it. You need power, control and precision. My advice would be to try to push it in, not pull out. You might end up breaking the diode as well, but the chance is a lot lower imho. But do use vice, even small one is enough.
Good luck.
