optics for TO-5 case (1000mW diode)

I just recived my diodes, if tey are close to the rated 1watt I guess they might be fun

However I need optics for them, they look just like the diodes that come out of CD-roms but much larger.

the base is 8mm and the head is about 6.5mm think this form factor is called TO-5

I have the exact same one, just I got it for $5 less.
From what I know, this is a 9mm can. Look at Meredith Instruments, they have some nice glass collimators, for 5.6mm and 9mm diodes, and don't try firing it up without a heatsink, otherwise you'll kill it.

meredith really is the way to go with the larger diodes.
in order to get them to work with the GB diodes you have to put a shim in to bring it from 9mm down to 5.6mm. Not bad prices either.
