Bought a cheap green laser, SD laser 303(around 12 bucks)

Couldnt find so much info on it, a few videos only and so on.

Anyone else have any experience in these cheap lasers? Any way to pot mot it DOWN to make the diode last longer? I recon it's not a variable pot-meter in it, but just a static resistor?

Oh.. Wrong section, should been green lasers.

I've never had any problem with the green ebay lasers, other than the lenses sometimes being crappy if they are made of plastic. I've had a few of the 405nm die on me, but I've had some other 405nm that seem practically indestructible.

The SD-303 host at least has the advantage that it does take a 9Mx0.5mm lens barrel so you can replace the lens if the original isn't glued into place. The heatsink ring might even take a 12mm module, which makes me wonder about dropping a 520nm in one of these.

I don't think the power can be modded up or down. I've never had a green one die on me anyway, and I've abused them a bit.

i dont remember which is the one that you can unscrew. its either the 301 or 303, and i have the one that you cant unscrew. Its a good 60-70mW, and it hasnt died yet- even after me trying my best to break it-smashing it with a hammer, throwing it against a brick wall as hard as i could, twisting, crushing, banging. No joke. Its frickin invincible. I wouldn't worry much about trying to get a longer life, as they are cheap anyway.

My first laser, the one that fueled my addiction, is my sd303 . I will soon have a laserbee to test it but have to say it was the best 25.00 I ever spent! I LOVE this laser and it will always hold a special place in my heart!

The 303 laser can be completly disassembled.

It feels pretty rigid, but i have a feeling the diode is going to die whenever it wants to.

Oh Another question, the button seems to be bad, it needs some force to work properly, it seems like it's giving some ohms, and restricting the power, looks easy to replace though, have a 100piece button kit, finally come in handy
