I hope everyone that wins lives in Australia, so no one can get hurt by these abominations. Also, notice how he neglects to mention eye safety and how he mentions that it's the first time anyone put a laser in a "cheap flick style lighter" because he got torn a new one about the original video, because Rog8811 was the first, and his didn't suck. /rant

What a cheap trick. He spends less than $20 on each laser, says they're worth $500, and he earns thousands of dollars in youtube views and website hits.

And of course he had to show the clip where someone points it at their eye without goggles.

He's a sellout asshole youtube-promotaholic moron with no concern for anyone's safety. I thought we established this months ago?

Guess how you get better revenue from Google? That's right, have comments, a high number of subscriptions, and plenty of ratings on your videos. Guess what you give him by doing it? Yep, more money to fund his silly competitions in the future. This is one of the only ways in which your giveaways can directly turn profit.

EDIT: and his rhetoric/tactics used in the video are absolutely appalling and so predictable. In the minutes it took me to write this post, my comment on eye safety was already buried 5 pages deep under "I entered."

This.

Somebody please let me know how he can get to a $500.00 price. Please.

Not to worry guys, knowing kipkays style of work and building 4 out of 5 will get broken during transport, 5th will never arrive. In the event that it does arrive, (I am assuming it's the exactly same lighter he made in the famous video), users will see first hand that powering high-output laser diodes from BUTTON CELLS does not exactly work as kipkay presented it.
In the event that some still manages to light the laser up, button cells will drain before he gets the chance to point it at somebody's eyes, or the diode will die from overdrive or hot glue (kipkay calls it heatsink) lossens up and messes the whole "laser".

EDIT, @Niko, I guess you did not follow the link given in original lighter video, bluray module (claimed 150mW, presumably PHR module with boost drive) for $89.

Hi I'm KipKay...
Kiss my A$$ to win a cheapy Laser Lighter that can blind you
when you use it exactly like I show in my Cheapy Laser Lighter
Video...

Come on kids I'll even bend over for you to make it easy...
[/scenario]

@ Niko.... that is probably the price of all the replacement parts
and LDs you need to buy to get just one cheapy Laser lighter to
function...

I can't believe this Moron is still aiming that Blu-Ray beam into
his face....

FDA? Can't they get him? I mean he lives in the U.S. and he is attracting a lot of attention to himself.
