Still no response to my questions in #92? Shame. I put some effort into writing it, the least you could do is answer or even acknowledge it. Answering honestly, even if it's not what people want to hear, is a lot more honourable and will get you a better reputation than stamping your feet and refusing to speak any more. I guess it's too late for your reputation on here anyway.

I asked politely, and only asked questions which I would consider fair - it's not like I asked you the percentages of the profits from referrals or any "confidential" information. In my opinion, to NOT tell people up-front that you profit from over-charging on simple items, based purely on your guide, would be dishonest. I'm guessing by your avoidance of the question that you *do* profit from the sales, though, and are presumably happy accepting the profit regardless. I guess you're not going to respond, but I thought I'd put this out there anyway, because I know that you'l read it.

EDIT 2: Thanks for the rep, I stand by my comment regardless, based on your videos and approach in this thread. You know that you're the only one to negative rep me in nearly two years? Perhaps that says more about you than it does me. Also notice that I didn't touch your rep.

BTW... KipKay is a Moronic Whinie Baby that has no clue
about Lasers or Laser Safety...
As far as I'm concerned he is a waste of oxygen inflicting/inciting
harm on the innocent.
He has show to the Forum community that he will not change his
tactics...:tsk:

Unfortunately, us complaining about it over here won't change anything - we're hardly his target market. I hope that this discussion has made him think more carefully about the message he's sending in future videos, even if he doesn't go back and change his old lighter one.

This fellow does realize that if somebody builds that lighter and blinds themselves he could be sued penniless, right? Disclaimers really aren't binding in a court of law. It has to be a legal notarized document. Just saying.

I'll give an example: Back when I was doing amateur pyrotechnics a good friend of my got sued basically out of existence. He had a incredible web site with howtos and videos (this was way before YouTube). He was a professional pyrotechnician and prided himself on keeping us amateurs safe and informed. Had a very safety oriented and through website. Even had a professional disclaimer written by a liability lawyer. Really great guy. Well. One day some fellow was following formulas on his web site. He was making color changing stars. You make these by rolling one compound over another. Well. This fellow rolled an incompatible compound over another and the whole batch of stars went up in his face badly burning him. Was this my friend's fault? No. The guy was in over his head and stupid. He violated a basic rule that was outlined on the web site. Didn't matter, thou. This fellow's lawyers took my friend apart. The guy was awarded $850,000 in damages. He appealed it and lost again. Just something to think about.

Indeed.. its the same thing like letting a kid play with a gun, and he ends up shooting into the floor half an inch from his foot. Obviously that was a perfectly safe thing to do since no toes were lost.

Crossing railroads blindfolded is also a very safe plan - in at least 99% of attempts you will not be hit by a train ;p

Ha! Sorry folks but I awarded a +rep in response to my very first -rep! I was just so pleased! 18 months and I haven't upset anyone enough for such a response before.

Apparently Kipkay considered my post, explaining what a sports cup was, a personal attack? Oooh, he must have meant my other post, the one asking for removal of his SPAM post! I mean, it can't be the post he linked the rep to can it? Does he think I meant he IS a sports cup? I never suggested that at all. When I think of it though, this laser lighter is bo**ocks and it does seem he likes trying to cover his nuts, (unsuccessfully). Still, his misdirected rep will probably demonstrate the idiocy of it though.

:eek: I just thought of something! Maybe he has just used me as a link to this thread and more sales! Sharp intake of breathe as I feel dirty and used!!!! Hmmm, :thinking: think i need to see a counsellor for reassurance I am a decent human being. [There's no, '12', on my sarcasm meter. Sorry]

I wish I could neg rep you again but I'll just let the rest of the forum do that for your shenanigans. Laser safety is no joke. So don't take it as one especially to your kids or the millions of people who watch your videos. If you want to gain our respect in the slightest way at least put warnings on your videos because I did not see one warning even concerning laser safety.

I'm not going to feed it anymore I suggest the forum do the same. :) This clown needs to be banned from this site and youtube he's spreading ignorance of laser safety to not only kids but noobs.
