well heres a list of batteries i've tried thus far all having same effect:
energizer alkaline
e2 lithium
e2 titanium
sanyo eneloops
and energizer rechargeables
That only leaves power pix and duracell
Lol i stocked up on batteries before it got here ;D

I have found the regulator in these lasers to be good meaning the laser will output the same amount of power no matter which type of battery you use. I would send an e-mail to Nova and explain the problem. One minute on with a ten minutes off duty cycle does indicate a problem. Unfortunately it sounds like it needs to be RMA'ed.

Yeah my dx also seams to have the same output no matter what batteries i put in them. I emailed nova yesterday but i haven't got a response yet. Guess i'll have to wait.
