First of all, thanks for having me... MY FIRST POST!

So I'm looking for a great current deal on a bright long range laser. i have no idea what the specs mean, color pros and cons, etc. Are there any oldie but good lasers that are super powerful and priced at a value? All recommendations welcome! Basic outdoor exploring and hunting applications.

Requirements
long range
already built (i don't want to piece together)
reasonably priced

Nice to have
takes AA or 18650 batteries
waterproof

color
i don't know, what do you recommend!

I've recent found and been an active member at archerytalk and budgetlightforum, and tried to post my learnings there if you are looking for crazy deals and advice on flashlights and bow stuff. if interested i have same user name bmcfiv

Seems your best bet is 532nm green lasers.

I'd recommending checking out O-like.com, see what they offer in Green laser category that might suit you. There's a lot of green lasers with various configurations in respect to battery accepted (AAA, 14500, 16340, 18650 etc), focusability, and wide choice of output power.

It would be useful if you let us know where you are located ;) Sounds like Canada or America, but we have people from all over the world on this forum so it's impossible to know for sure.

The reason I ask is that different countries have varying restrictions regarding laser pointers, some stricter than others. If we know your location we will be able to give you information that is better suited to your region.

Anyway, welcome to the forum! :yh:

Hi bmcfiv Welcome to the forum

You will probably want a green laser as they are the most visible. Most lasers are very water resistant but if you want a truly waterproof laser make sure it is specified as waterproof because there is a world of difference between being in the rain and being submerged in the lake :D

I know Laserbtb advertises that one of their lasers is waterproof. I haven't ordered from them for almost a year now so I don't know where their reputation is standing at the moment. Last time I checked, they were a somewhat reputable Chinese company that sold decent non-junk laser systems. The LFP 1000mW blue laser I bought from them months ago is still running strong and I use it fairly often. Mostly for showing off to friends at night who have never seen anything more then a cheapie red. Well, I honestly cant remember the name of the waterproof laser and I cant access their site at the moment but I hope this info helps a bit.
