I've made a few C6's, enough to want a different look, I've seen some awesome polished ones where the C6 was made like a mirror, but I still love the form of it it's small but has an 18650 for long run times & it's just so simple to build I love it :san:

Well anyways I spent about 7 hours de anodizing & lightly polishing certain parts of this host.

Here's some of the process...
Top part de anodized

Tailcap all de anodized, I took it apart again to polish but didn't take pictures of it alone polished

Progress at that point

Still all coarse & some parts still anodized.

The finished polished host next to a regular one

It's far from perfect but I'm pretty satisfied with the results, I left the grip somewhat anodized for 2 reasons
1, I would go crazy de anodizing all those tiny little grooves
2, it looks pretty nice with it still there :)
I'll be building a 445 into this, it will make a nice laser for sure :D

:thanks: for looking!

I've always wanted to try this, what method are you using for the deadonization and polishing process?
Thanks

You can look up what chemicals to use to chemically deanodize aluminum. It's pretty easy, but somewhat dangerous chemicals involved, so I will let you research it on your own. Basically, buy the commonly available chemical solution from any store and soak your part in it in a well ventilated area with skin protection.

I like the look of the grooves, reminds me of the paint jobs on some of the R2 units

 nope it took longer than its taken me to sand anything actually :p I used to be in construction & trust me wood sands MUCH easier than metal...

Also the fact I was taking my time, especially the tailcap, I didn't want it all sanded :D
