So i got my PL-E Pro 532 400mw from Jetlasers impressive laserbee at 530mw average and a peak of 638mw, However it came with a defective AC unit and was missing the tailcap safety pin so it has yet to be turned on. =/ Any ideas what i could do for the safety pin? Also anyone know if walmart sells 18650's?

contact Hak or i think its Gray from JL and they will help you out. not the only one who has this problem and there is a thread were hak explains this and JL is working on a solution. the new tailcaps are going to be sent to Hak and he will distribute to members who need them iirc.

My A/C unit also came defective, so perhaps there is just a bad run of them... other that one thing however, I have zero complaints about anything related to the JetLasers product or process. Great company experience...

yeah totally dont get me wrong still love Jet and everything just wondering what i should do about the safety pin? Is it possible to use something other than the one that comes with the laser or should have came with the laser, not really sure on the size of it.

---->So i found an old computer monitor cord and swaped out the one that came with the a/c unit and BAM fired right up:) My god this laser is insanely bright and the burning capabilities are just nuts! 400mw my butt =P and looked again at the spec sheet, actually peaks at 682mw:)

Glad you worked it out.
Sorry for the ac issue - i still am not sure if the connection is loose or the plug is not fit for the wall source. The connection between the adapter plug and ac cord needs be very tight. As the wall source here is not for US standard plug, so we did only test it on a power board with US standard socket.

new tailcap pins ( if needed) are ez to make- take any old RCA cord cut off a plug bend off the 'ears' and BAM thats it- or you can use the same size headphone jack. or a nail/screw that fits snuggly

some internal issues with these pin safety/dongles has caused JL to defeat the defeat so many now work with or with out that pin- loss of one safety feature was/is the trade off.

and its true that the connection between laser and wall wart plug needs to be better- try moving it some to see if the LEDS flicker on-- a wallwart is nice to have -- like in your case where some idiot lost your address and failed to ship you batts ;-) lol)

BUT a wall wart does not make a handhelds into a lab lasers so keep[ the duty/rest cycle still in mind- AND if you do have ample batteries why would you even want or need to use the wallwart? i have one here it works fine but I have used it only a very few times and never for very long--

glad you got it working and sorry for the delay in me sending the batts to you MY BAD!! lost your address- and you just now sent it AGAIN- its printed out already so no more excuses..

RMEMBER ONE AND ALL

If at ANY time your laser is warm on the outside its VERY warm inside

and IF its VERY warm on the outsdie its HOT inside

and if hot outside you may be just about to fry the insides

take every duty/rest cycle given by the maker and cut that in half
INCLUDING those that would like to hope their handhelds lasers need NO rest cycles- if you send back one to me that you left on for an hours do NOT look for sympathy if you want to find sympathy its right there in that fat unabridged dictionary --- right between 5hit and 5yphilis.
