Almost a month ago exactly I joined the LPF in hopes of building a sort-of-impressive laser that was bright and somewhat powerful.
I've never built a laser before and be warned - it's a lab laser, it's experimental, and it's UGLY. But it's functional, very bright, and runs nice and cool.
Materials used:
- M140 445nm diode in copper module from DTR's laser shop
- G2 lens
- 1.8A X-drive
- 7.5V 5.34A DC power supply
- 3x3x3 inch solid 6061-T6 aluminum cube (drilled it myself, what a pain in the butt, never doing that again LOL)
- Various wiring and other electrical components that I had laying around
I am now a total laser ADDICT and I couldn't have done this without all your guys' help.
So here it is everyone, my first ever laser build. Enjoy the videos, 1080p is available!
