ok here it goes i get a bonus in march every year thats the only reason i have a rpl 375 otherwise i couldn't really afford it i support 7 people in  my house including myself lol :'( anyways march is getting close I really want a blue laser my options are as follows

my first choice of course optotronics 30 mw =1,200
pros =
1) its jacks unit = unlike a regular Viasho ;D ;)
2) 12 month warranty
3) its optotronics

cons 1,150usd

#2 choice pgl CNI  PGL 111-c-473
pros
1) a 30 mw is 600.00 usd a 40 mw is 700.00
2) cni has a very repitable name
3) 6 month warranty

cons - not very much info or reviews on this unit

Laserglow - was told to contact when ready for order
pros
1) laserglow is a great company -very good reviews  
2) scopeguy likes them

cons
1) no prices were actually given to me after several price requests  :'(

I say keep saving until your situation has stabilized... It'd be kinda stupid to have your family go down the tubes for a hobby....

my situation is like everyone elses around i guess since 9-11-01 its been hard to save up funds all my money goes for bills -but i take that bonus that I get and get me a little sumptin  ;D ;D ;D-**k a year =bills kids- mortagage cars-401-k-
1,000-2,000 depends on bonus size =me lasers my hobby

now if i didnt have a good paying job i'd be in trouble big time

trying to get things ready for my daughter now shes going to college in bakersfield-merced or fresno still checking em out

I work 60 hours+ a week i need a little reward please more people check the buy a laser box so i'll think its ok  ;)

Pay the bills and keep your wife/family happy. They're more important than a new blue laser. Wait for the economy to improve a bit and then buy a laser.

What works out best is to save aside $20 a check. Even if it has to be only $10 a check your still working your way towards something that you really want and in this world $10 per check really isn't all that much. In 1 yr to 2 yrs, you will have all the money you need to really buy what you want without sacrificing from something else. Or the next time you come around to your bonus, you've saved up $1,00-$2,000 to apply towards something you really want.

I've actually given up cigarettes and the money I ordinarily would spend on cigaretes is getting put aside and saved for a galvo set with all the trappings I need to make a good laser show.

Uhh *sheepishly admits it's only been a few hours* I didn't have any more money and couldn't buy any so I decided what the hell, lets do it for real. Then low and behold my financial aide check arrives in the mail and I've got $4,000 I can't touch till monday.

boy oh boy would a new style 473nm  30 mw blue Optotrionics rpl look nice next to my bed

my wife knows now that i am addicted to lasers she now accepts a 100 here or a hundred there for sleds my christmas presents to my kids were 50 mw blurays in groove barrels and believe me they are very happy

I lost 50% of my 401k last year :'( I'm sure a lot of us did
they say hey dad if you die do I get your RPL I'm like hey I'm 40 years old dont talk like that :p

yea I showed her the poll she said you guys are smart but if thats what i really want thats what my bonus is for to get something I wouldn't regularly afford
I just hope my company doesn't pull the its been a bad year .sorry heres a target gift card i would be pissed
