That would be pretty cool. One of the 405s I built has a GITD coating on it.

Hmmmmm, tough question.

I enjoy ANY monochromatic light, though I suppose I do have some favorite W/L's.

In the red range , I still love the 632.8 HeNe line. Though, I may be influenced by the inherently high beam quality of HeNe lasers. I just love those gas laser beams.

In the green range, I do like 532nm, but I have to (once again) side with the HeNe line in this range (543nm). It's just more "green" in my view, and is more of a "lime green" when compared to 532. If you compare 532 and 543 side-by-side, the 532 will look almost blue-green in comparison. The 543 line is a "deeper" or "warmer" green and I just find it more appealing.

Now, my ALL-TIME favorite has to be 458 or 460nm. I do like 445 and 473, but right there in between them is 458, and to me, it's just the most beautiful sapphire blue that I can imagine. Sadly, I don't (yet) own a 458nm laser, (although I have seen a 458nm in operation), but I can dial up that wavelength on my monochromator, and it's just a gorgeous color. Absolutely beautiful, in my opinion. If you have any cobalt-blue glass in your house, then you have a close approximation of the color that I'm talking about. It's really nice.

BTW, a monochomator is a VERY nice bit of kit, if you can manage one. It's potential use is extremely valuable to any laser enthusiast.

I haven't seen much wavelengths but so far I like 532nm and 445nm very much after that 650nm

Hmm.. I'd say that I really like 473nm, but choosing from the wavelengths I currently own, I'm not sure which I like best... 532, 445 and 405 are all awesome.

640nm is by far my favorite.

I change my answer I love 500.8nm silvery blue/green color. Hard to describe.

Let's see I currently have diode lasers in 405, 445, 473, 532, 589, 635, 638, 650, and 660. Gas lasers in 632.8, 643.5 and of course my ML Argon I would have to put my top three as:

1. 488nm line of the ML Argon
2. 589nm
3. 473 nm

I hate to admit it but 445 is just meh now. 445 is a lot more purple to me after getting a 473 and 488. Speaking of 488 I need to give it its monthly exercise this weekend.

The most beautiful color is from tunable optical parametric amplifier But I guess it goes out of the question, so green color all the way 532 or 515 coz my eyes are most sensitive in that region.

473 is really beautiful but 589 is at the top of my list with it's royal color, it's almost like gold made into a beam of light.
