I bought a Meredith collimator (and adapter) and right now it is still shipping(how long does shipping usually take?) I was wondering how to put the diode in the collimator... can you help?

I bought one with the acrylic lens. Took about 10 days total after I ordered via internet. It came with a diagram showing how to put the diode in. No problem with a closed can. I tried an open can and it crushed it. The end of the open can wouldn't fit. What kind of diode you got? :'(

I got a Senkat diode (open can) but, it isn't here yet...
