Has anyone here bough the 100~125mW Envee laser? I want one of these but don't know much about the company. Nova has been mentioned here many times and a search on Lucent Optics did not yield the results I was looking for. What would your opinions be? Thanks

Welcome to the forum E=mc2 ;) as for the envee they are the same laser as the NOVA and with the NOVA you get a nice aluminium case if I recall correctly :cool:

Things have been very well for me thanks Todd. I'm glad you like it here, we've made this forum what it is today only because we are not owned by any company and we don't have stupid rules. I'm glad you eventually found us and joined :cool:

I would recommend the Alpha over the Envee if only for hte fact that the ONLY Envee I know of taht exists that is at the specified values belongs to Merl. The rest I have seen and or dealt with have been crap. Not to mention their customer service leaves a lot to be desired - again that is not from ME, but from people I know that have dealt with them. Nova's reputation for customer service is untarnished as of yet, and I highly doubt anyone will find fault with it/them any time in the foreseeable future.

I got an EnVee 100 in March this year. The service was good and I have been happy with the laser but have not measured it (no meter).

But in general I could only agree with senkat - the feedback here is all Nova, Nova, Nova for this sort of laser

epicetus - that makes TWO people now I suppose ! :) Glad you didn;t get taken for a ride !! If you are stateside, why not send it to one of the MANY folks that have meters for a quick test ? There are a lot of folks in teh UK that have meters, too....
