so there are 3 lasers that really have my eye at the moment!
1st.
1W 445 from Lazerer
RIFLE445nm - 1W Focusable Blue Laser ** Deluxe Set **

2nd.
500mW 405 from Survival Lasers (I LOVE 405's)
Survival Laser V 405nm Parts Bundle - Laser Components Only

and last but not least
1W 445 from Survival Lasers
Survival Laser I 445nm Parts Bundle - Laser Components Only

so what do you guys think? my budget is in the low to mid $200 range
and also i live in Kuwait..so im terrified about something happening getting through customs...thats why i havent ordered anything to be shipped here yet. . so if anyone knows of any known customs issues i would appreciate the forewarning!
Thanks

I am saving up for the 3rd one, with all of the upgrades, and you have to buy the battery+charger separately. Also make sure you buy the right safety glasses, like OEM(on your budget, you wouldnt be able to afford OEM, but the standerd goggles at survivallasers work quite well.

I'm hoping you already have a good pair of goggles, but if not, get the eagle pair from survival laser.

Of the other three lasers I would go with choice #3. Reason being, you already have a 405nm so might as well try something new. Although 405nm of 500mW+ and 100mW that you have are two totally different things.

Since customs could be an issue, definitely stick with survival laser, since he doesn't ship an assembled laser. You may want to contact Gary and maybe have him ship two packages days apart to further minimize risk.

If you decide to go with a 405nm, get a g1 lens.

Personally I own two pairs of Eagle pair goggles, one of the slip over versions, I picked up from Gary and another I picked up off of ebay a while back.

I tested both, and find that they reduce my lpm reading from 1.1W to between o and 1mW - Can't be sure. Anyway, to what IMHO is a safe level.

So far there haven't been any bad reviews on those goggles. The reason I like them is that they have excellent overall light transmission, many of the other goggles I tried either don't test well or are very dark, with the eagle pair... I've forgotten to take them off on more than one occasion.

Of course the safest route is to go with certified goggles:https://www.oemlasersystems.com/pro...ction/visible-alignment/al3-ktp-argon-blu-ray
